Frank T. Maykut, Sr.
"Dzadzi"
Died peacefully surrounded by his family on October 7, 2011 at Christiana Hospital.
He was in the Army during the European Theater of WWII. Frank was employed by Sheet Metal Contracting for over 20 years.
Along with his brother, John Maykut, he successfully owned and operated Germay Car Wash and Cleaning Center in Wilmington, DE for 23 years.After retiring in 1986, Frank lived life to the fullest along with his beloved wife, Rosalie (Babci), helping raise his granddaughters and taking many rides to Lancaster, PA. He also enjoyed going to Delaware Park.
Frank was the husband of the late Rosalie (Schieffer) Maykut. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Maykut; and his sisters, Sallie Grzywna, Helen Racis, and Frances Borkowski. He is survived by his son, Frank T. Maykut, Jr. and his wife Tracy; his granddaughters, Kathleen and Amy Maykut; grandsons, Jayson Maykut, Jayson Bak, and Justin Bak; his sister, Elizabeth Novak and her husband Lennard, his brother, John A. Maykut and Dorothy, especially his long time companion "lady friend" Ruth Green; and his many nieces and nephews. Frank never stopped hoping and praying for the return of his missing daughter, Kathleen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth R. C. Church, S. Clayton St., Wilmington on Wednesday, October 12, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday morning. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
