Frederick (Rick) David Montgomery, age 82 of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born in Wilmington, DE on March 12, 1937 to Ellis and Elizabeth Montgomery.
He was a lifetime member of Painters Local 100. He loved playing cards with his brothers and traveling to Vermont and upstate New York to visit his sons.

Rick was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie; son, Richard D. Sr.; his grandsons, Ricky, Eric and Kenny; and his siblings, Robert, John, Lawrence, Donald, Gene, and Shirley.

He is survived by his 4 sons, Kenneth J. (Laurie), Robert F. (Sativa), Vincent W. (Anita), and Jeffrey A. (Keith); 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom, Jerry, and Bill.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Christiana Hospital, floor 6B, for their excellent care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service on Friday, February 21 at 11:30 am at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington, DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11:30. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
