Genevieve "Janet" Wills
Age 87, passed away at Manor Care Rehab in Wilmington on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Born October 10, 1923 in Pittston, PA. Janet came to Delaware in 1943. She was married August 23, 1952.
She worked for Electric Hose and Rubber Co. She was a stay at home mom and grandmother.
Janet was a devoted Catholic. She was an avid bowler, bingo player, and loved going to the Delaware beaches and going to summertime band concerts. Later in life she worked at the Delcastle High School Cafeteria.
She was the daughter of the late Raymond A. Delaney, Sr. and Alice Hamlin Delaney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William J. Wills, Jr.; her brothers and sisters, Gerald, Raymond, Kenneth, and Joseph Delaney, Alice Burnetsky, Helen Delaney, and Joanne Sandles. She is survived by her children, Jeanette Wills Taylor and her husband Barry, and Annette Wills Witmarsh and her husband Myrl; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor and Matthew Taylor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Beloved R. C. Church, Milltown Rd., Wilmington, on Tuesday, June 21st at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday morning. Interment in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association Delaware, 240 North James St., Suite 100, Newport, DE 19804.
