George P. Boulden, Jr.
Age 59, passed away on July 9, 2012 at home surrounded by his family.
George graduated from Henry C. Conrad High School in 1971. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserves in his senior year. Following graduation he was deployed as a SEABEE to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean and later at U.S. Naval Facility, Lewes, DE.
He was a life member of Five Points Fire Company joining the company at age 15. He held various positions throughout that time.
George was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Marion and Edward Curren; his sister, Deborah E. Ross; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law M. Elizabeth and James A. Slavin, Sr.
George is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Slavin Boulden; his two sons, Sean, and James; and his daughter, Erin Owens (William); the light of his life, his grandson, Zachary J. Boulden; his brother, Robert T. Boulden; sister-in-law, Flora Kirkpatrick (Jack); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Friday evening. Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
