George Zingale
Age 65, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born on April 26, 1948, in Brookyn, NY, son of the late Theresa (Short) and George J. Zingale, Sr.
George was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. His hobbies were fishing, boating, model trains and he enjoyed many summers spending time at the beach. He was a member of the following: TCA Train Member, DE Train Club, American Legion and UAW Retiree.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Deborah Zingale (Hazel) of 17 1/2 years; step-children, Lisa Hartsky (John), and Matthew Newton (Kathi); 9 grandchildren; his sister, Pamela Willis (Edward) and their children Suzanne, Mark and Michele, sister, Jeanne Coco (Samuel) and their children Anthony, Sean and Samantha; and many great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel, DuPont Pkwy., New Castle, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11 am. Friends may call at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel on Tuesday morning from 10-11 am. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
