Gerald (Jerry) J. Vaughn 80 of Elsmere, DE ascended into Heaven on October 11th, 2022. Jerry was a surf fisherman and member of the Moose Club. He served in the Army National Guard and was a 32-year ticket holder for University of Delaware Football. He retired in 2020 after many years with Porter Auto Group.

Not one to sit still, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, eating crabs with family and making his own sauce, and was always building something for someone. He also had a love for Nascar and the Philadelphia Eagles. Most importantly, Jerry cherished the moments with friends and family making them smile, especially during the Holidays.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Vaughn and Harriette Bray; his grandmother, Marian Jamison; his sister, Carol (George) Beiderman; and his two sons, Robert Vaughn and Kevin Norris. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Jacqueline (Jackie) Vaughn of 40 years; his children, Richard Norris Jr (Sharon), Lisa Groom (Dennis), and Tammy Hackendorn (Michael); his grandchildren, Amber (Kenny), Zachary, Shawn (Grace), Justin, Alex, Madelyn, and Ashley; and his 4 great grandchildren, Dilyn, Aidan, Landon, and Adrianna. He is also survived by his cousin Nancy Jamison, his niece Leslie Lucas and his two nephews, George and Geoff Beiderman.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at 11:00 am at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington, DE 19805.

Interment will follow services at Silverbrook Cemetery.
