Gladys L. Davis

AGE: 89 • Wilmington

Passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Gladys graduated from P.S. duPont High School in 1944. She worked for Boy Scouts of America for 25 years. Prior to working and during her career, Gladys donated thousands of hours volunteering. She received an Order of Merit Citation, served as a member of the Cub Scout Round Table, and she was a member of the Mid-County Senior Center.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Davis; her sons, John C. Davis and Robert D. Davis, and her grandson, Christopher. She is survived by her sons, Scott Davis (Nickie), and Arthur Davis (Carol); and many loving grandkids and great-grandkids.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Delaware Hospice for their attentive care of Gladys.

A viewing will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, on Monday, May 9, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Interment will take place at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, on Tuesday, May 10, at 10:00 am.
