Obituary

Halina Richardson, age 76, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on March 25, 2022.
Born in 1945 to the late Stephan and Hedwig Lewandowski in Mlawa, Poland, the Lewandowski's moved to the United States in 1948. Halina grew up in Wilmington, DE and is a graduate of St. Hedwig High School. She began her career working for Colonial bank. Upon marriage and her first born, Halina left her career to raise and care for her growing family.
Halina spent her free time volunteering at her children's schools, Little Sisters of the Poor, and as a minister to the homebound. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church in Elkton, MD, and within her later years at Corpus Christi Church in Elsmere, DE. Halina was a social butterfly who enjoyed dinners out, conversations with friends & walks with her boyfriend Rick. Friends and family would describe her as a witty person with a penchant to make others laugh.
Halina is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth H. Richardson, whom she shared 38 years of marriage, & her brothers Eugene Lewandowski & John Lewandowski. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Richardson, & her daughters, Holly Wojcik (Eric), & Hilary Sinclair (Andrew). Her granddaughters Hannah & Hayden Wojcik, & her boyfriend of five years, Rick Reverdito.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere, DE 19805, May 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Private interment with immediate family to follow.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of one's choice.
