Hector Cruz passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Hector was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who always put his family first. He was a tough disciplinarian, but he had a generous spirit, finding joy in the simple pleasures in life. He loved all animals and would consider them his. He loved gardening and fishing. He enjoyed watching baseball games and was an avid Pirates fan, especially during the Roberto Clemente period.

His is predeceased by his wife, Anita Cruz of 66 years, and is survived by; daughter – Ana M. Prosceno, Sons – Hector M. Cruz, Jr. and Ralph A. Cruz; Grandchildren – Shannon M. McFarland (Jonathan); Michael A. Prosceno (Jenna), and Adalyn D. Cruz; Great Grandchildren – Colin P. McFarland, Brennan M. Thomas, and Dylan A. Prosceno.

The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to Accent Care, the hospice providers who helped care for him.
