Helen E Vari
Passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the age of 94.
Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved playing numbers, eating cheese steaks, and socializing in her brother Mario's backyard.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Arminda and Antonio DiAngelo; her brothers, George and Orlando (Dindy) DiAngelo; her sister, Jeanette Cianfarino; her granddaughter, Veronica Vari; and her niece, Sheila DiAngelo, who was Helen's devoted companion.
Helen is survived by her son, Joseph Vari, and his wife, Drue; her brother, Mario DiAngelo, Sr.; her sister, Loretta Cook, and her husband, Robert; her sister-in-law and friend, Nancy DiAngelo; her grandson, Vincent Vari; her great-granddaughter, Brynn Vari; and her nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle R. C. Church, 5th and Harmony Streets, New Castle, DE. A viewing will take place at the church from 9:30-11:00 am. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
