Henry C. Pentz

Passed away peacefully Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Christiana Hospital with his family by his side. He was 77.

Henry was born in Johnstown Pa. He is a US Navy Veteran and proudly served his country during the Korean War.

After many years of service, Henry retired from the United States Postal Service in 1987. He also worked at the Newark Country Club for 20 years.

Henry was a long time and active member of Corpus Christi R.C.C. in Elsmere, enjoyed the time he spent boating and crabbing on the Eastern Shore, and will be remembered as a good and patient man, a loving husband, and a devoted father.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jean Pentz; his son, Robert Pentz; brothers,
Philip Pentz and his wife Irene and Edward Pentz and his wife Patricia; sisters, Theresa Weimer and her husband William and Alice Beam and her husband Ronald; many nieces and nephews; and his dog and faithful companion, Annie.

The family would like to thank the staff at Christiana Hospital for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C.C., 901 New Road, Elsmere, on Wed. morning March 11th at 10:30 AM.
Friends may call at the Corpus Christi Church on Wed. morning from 9:30AM to10:30AM. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
