James L. Koczak
Died September 1, 2011.
James graduated from St. Peter's High School, and attended Villanova University. James retired from the Post Office after more than 30 years of service. He also retired as a Captain in the Army National Guard.
He played semi-pro football with the Wilmington Clippers, and the Aston Knights. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
He co-owned the Captain's Log with his brother, Larry, for many years.
James was the son of the late John and Grace (Boros) Koczak. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Richard, and Eugene; and his sister, Wilma Cahill. He is survived by his children, Felicia Catalano, and her son, Matthew; Jacqueline Herlihy, her husband Joseph, and daughter McKenna; his brother, Larry and his wife Phyllis, and their daughter Kelly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's R. C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, on Thursday, September 8th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday morning. Interment is private.
