James David Rothfuss
Born on October 7, 1919 in Blissfield, MI and died on May 29, 2013 in Wilmington, DE.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; his brother, Maxwell, and his sister, Mary Joan.
He served in the Army from 1941-1977 and retired with a rank Lt. Colonel. His career at the DuPont Company began in 1945 where he was a chemical engineer at Toledo, Oh plant. He retired in 1977 as the General Manager of Fabrics and Finishes in Wilmington, DE. He and his wife moved to Sarasota in 1984. While living in Sarasota, he became a Mason of the 32nd Degree and also a Chanter. He was also an avid bridge player, golfer and ballroom dancer.
Jim is survived by his son, David and his wife, Susan; grand-daughters, Rebecca DeVore and Sara Carty, and her husband, Jamie; his daughter, Linda Rothfuss of Lawrenceville, GA and her children; Tim Genevicz and his wife, Yvette, Christopher Genevicz and his wife, Jennifer, Daniel Genevicz and his wife Sunni, Sara Pottle and her husband Joe, Robert Owens, Katherine Boyds and her husband, William. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2013 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1314 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19803 at 12 Noon.
