James "Jimmy" Skinner, 75 of Elsmere, DE passed away on Sunday July 21, 2024, with his

Adeline Skinner. Jimmy graduated from Conrad High school in 1967 and attend Goldey
Beacom College. In 2005, he retired after 30 years from Sheet Metal Local 19.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his in-laws Joseph and Tillie Masarik,
brothers in law Donald VanDyke, Harold Hammond and Joseph "Butch" Masarik, and sister-in-
law Virginia Skinner.

He is also survived by his brother John (Jack) Skinner, sisters Jean Zwak (Dale), and Joyce
VanDyke, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jim was an avid sports fan, supporting the local Philadelphia Professional teams (Eagles, 76ers,
Phillies). He also was a great supporter of his own kids sporting accomplishments, from high
school to college. Jim then continued to support his granddaughter in her high school and
college athletic achievements. Jim was a competitive bowler in many local leagues for years.
He bowled for many years, until chronic knee pain no longer allowed him to do so.

Pop, as he was affectionally called, loved to play card games on his computer, and sit outside
with his many dogs throughout the years. He was a dedicated breakfast fan, patronizing
several small local breakfast spots, as well as attending his weekly "Breakfast with the Boys", a
gathering of retired Sheet Metal workers. Pop loved a good BBQ, and his coveted cigars. Pop
was the built-in babysitter for the grandkids when they were younger, and the permanent dog
