Jean G. Sayers
Age 90, died November 17, 2010 at Wilmington Hospital.
Jean was born on her mother's 18th birthday, July 3, 1920 in Wilmington. She is the daughter of the late William and Mabel Sanders.
She was a graduate of Wilmington High School in 1938.
Jean was talented in crafts, quilting, sewing, and loved to bake. She enjoyed gardening and loved to read.
She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years.
Jean was a life long member of Elsmere Presbyterian Church.
A special thank you to Bernice Sheldon for her loving care for Jean.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ralph F. Sayers in 1986; beloved son, Ray A. Sayers; brothers, William J. and Norwood Sanders. She is survived by her daughter, Karen; granddaughter, Lisa McMahon and her husband John; two great grandchildren, Caroline and Brayden.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Elsmere Presbyterian Church, 606 New Rd., Wilmington on Saturday, November 20th at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Interment in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
