JEANNE (MONGILLO) HOLCOMBE

Age 65, of Wilmington, DE went to be with our Lord on January 30, 2009.

Jeanne was born to the late Carmen and Mary Mongillo of Elsmere. After graduating from Conrad High School she married Carl Holcombe, Jr. of Georgia.

Jeanne a loving mother, sister and homemaker, was a member of St. Anthony's Senior Center, the Debra Rebekah Lodge, and during the 90's Cranston Heights Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Camilla (Mongillo) Moseij. Jeanne is survived by her four children, Marie (Holcombe) Powell and husband Mitchell of GA., Carl Joseph Holcombe of PA., Robert Holcombe and wife Danielle of PA., and Andrew T. Holcombe and wife Beverly of Elsmere, DE.; her loving sister, Marie (Mongillo) Petrucci; 9 grandchildren; and two nieces. Jeanne was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild in April. She will be sadly missed by all of her family, friends, and loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 901 North DuPont St, Wilmington, on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Wednesday evening, Feb. 4, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
