Obituary

Jenna Thompson Hernandez, 38, of Wilmington, DE died suddenly on Friday, March 23, 2018. Her devoted husband, PJ, was by her side at the time.
Jenna graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in 1998, and she received her Bachelor's degree and MBA from Goldey-Beacom College.
Jenna worked at Lyons Insurance Company.
She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and still carried the glow of the Eagles Super Bowl win.
Playing softball was one of Jenna's passions. She played softball for several different teams over the years, and her teammates loved her competitiveness, her love of the game, and her heart. She was special to all of them. She also played dodgeball and loved to skydive.
Jenna was the light of everywhere she went, and her incredible smile and loving personality will always be remembered by everyone.
Jenna is survived by her beloved husband PJ, her parents John and Kathy Edwards Thompson, her mother-in-law Marion Hernandez, her cousins who were like siblings, and her friends who were like family. Her Aunts and Uncles were as devoted to her as she was to them. Her beloved Pugs, Dagwood and Rowan will miss her dearly.
Jenna was predeceased by her maternal Grandparents, Bill and Kitty Edwards, and her paternal Grandparents, Mark & Patience Thompson.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, on Tuesday, April 3, from 5:00-7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will begin at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE, on Wednesday, April 4, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memory of Jenna to Turner Syndrome Society of US, 11250 West Rd, Suite G, Houston TX 77065, to go towards research and conference expenses. Jenna was part of the DE Valley TS Resource Group.
