Passed away peacefully on Sun, Oct 19, 2014 at Christiana Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Joan retired from the News Journal in 1991 after almost 20 years of dedicated service. She was an avid Phillies fan.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Nicholas A. Petrucci Sr., in 1972 and her daughter, Marie (Petrucci) McKee, in 2009.
Joan is survived by her children, Sally (Petrucci) Greer Jensen, of Wilmington, Susan (Petrucci) Rodalunas and finace, Tom Donoghue, of Elsmere, and Nicholas Petrucci Jr. and his wife, Angela, of Newark; her grandchildren, Kelley Greer Taylor and her husband, Edward, and Michael Rodalunas; and her great-grandkids, Morgana and Eddie Taylor. Joan was also devoted to her cat, Tigger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service for Joan at Gracelawn Memorial Chapel, 2220 DuPont Hwy., New Castle, DE 19720, on Sat, Oct 25, 2014 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at Gracelawn Memorial Chapel from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
