John Michael Blevins, age 40, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on Sunday, April 27th. He was born on June 22, 1984, in Wilmington, Delaware.
John was a graduate of McKean High School, Class of 2002, and furthered his education at Delaware Technical Community College, graduating in 2004.
Those who knew John will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor, his genuine kindness, his thoughtful nature, and his sharp intellect. He cherished spending time with his family. John was also a devoted animal lover and an avid reader, always eager to learn and explore new worlds through books.
He is survived by his loving parents, Patricia and Michael Blevins; his sister, Julia Lawes; and his beloved niece, Eloise Lawes.
His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him. While John battled within himself over the last few years, he is now at peace.
A viewing will take place on Monday, May 5 from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805. Celebration of Life service will begin at 7:30pm. Burial will take place at Cathedral Cemetery privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in John's memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA (BVSPCA), an organization close to his heart.
