John Paul DelPercio III, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on August 30, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John was a proud product of South Philadelphia, where he grew up serving as an altar boy in his local Catholic church and developed a deep sense of community and faith.
John had a remarkable talent for music. He showcased his musical abilities as a gifted saxophonist, playing in a South Philadelphia string band, a testament to his passion for the vibrant culture of his hometown.
After initially working for three years with FedEx as a cargo unloading technician, John discovered his true calling in the field of computers. He dedicated 15 years of his professional life to AstraZeneca, where he was known for his diligence, expertise, and unwavering commitment to his work.
John was an avid enthusiast of trains, a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and an lover of all things Disney.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara DelPercio; his daughters, Brittany DelPercio and Marissa Farraday; his sons, Allen Cooley and Kyle DelPercio; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Milo, Roman, Sophia, and Sutton. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Baggio.
John will always be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and the joyful memories he created with friends and family alike.
A service to remember the life of John will be held privately.
