John Myers
Died peacefully at home on January 4, 2012 at the age of 88.
He spent his life entertaining people with his music, magic, and comedy.
John was a long time member of the Delaware Knights of Magic and with his sister and brothers as a banjo player in The Family Affair Band. He was a WWII Veteran of 116th Anti Aircraft Division. He was a devoted member of St. Mary's. He retired from Amtrak in 1983.
He was the son of the late Edward and Catherine Myers. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Marie Treml; his brother, Edward Myers; and most beloved daughter, Carol Ciccone. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise, of 63 years; sons, David and Danny Myers; daughter, Patty Walsh; brother, Bill Myers and his wife Pat; sisters, Ann Abbot and Jean Haught; grandchildren, John, Tommy, Leah, Heather, Megan, and Laura; and 13 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's, 6th & Pine Sts., Wilmington, on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
