John S. Shaw

Age 67 of Wilmington

Passed on March 3, 2016 surrounded by his family.

John was born and raised in Wilmington, son of the late John H. and Regina (Gold) Shaw.
He was a 1966 graduate of Salesianum School. John was an employee of the United States Postal Service for 39 years, retiring in 2005.

John was a member of the Defiance Club of Delaware. He loved playing golf, traveling and listening to music. However, John's greatest passion in life was spending time with his family and friends. With his never ending jokes and nicknames, he always put a smile on everyone's face.

John will be dearly missed by his wife, Lisa Shaw; his siblings, Marie Getz (William), Mark Shaw (Karen), Elaine Cooney (Jeff); his nieces and nephews, Michelle, Roblyn, Stacey, Stephen, Dana, Jessica, Mark, Joshua, and Austin; and his loving great nieces and nephew. John is also survived by his brother-in-law, Trent Palmer (Renee).

Relatives and friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, on Saturday, March 12, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Service for John at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
