On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Joseph P. Cichocki, Sr., loving husband and father of five, passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 83.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, his mother, Elsie, his brother, Robert, and his sister, Joanne.

He is survived and missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Carol; his children Donna (John), Joe (Linda), Gary (Diane), Ron (Diane), Sharon (John); his grandchildren Tom, Steven (Katie), Jennifer, Ronny, Tara (Yazeid), Alexandra, John; and his great-grandson Ryan.

Joe was a general contractor and master of his craft, and he used this craft to help others however he could. He also had a passion for racing pigeons throughout his life and was an avid member of Newark Pigeon Club. Joe loved spending time with his family and his kind, compassionate and loving spirit was felt by all who knew him. He is especially remembered and missed for his quick-witted humour that he kept until his last days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joe's memory to Wounded Warriors or Corpus Christi Parish.
