Went home to be with the Lord in the loving arms of his family on August 30,2023.
Joe was a life-long resident of New Castle born to the late, Gertrude V. and Andrew L. Gorman. He was a career National Guardsman retiring at the rank of Command Sergeant Major.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 65 years, Trudy. His children, Terri (James) Harkness and Joe (Debra) Gorman; his 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his niece, Geraldine Ingram.
The family would like to especially thank the wonderful staff of Churchman's Care Nursing Home for their excellent care and kindness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church on Tuesday, Sept 5 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am-11:00am. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in Joe's name to St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church.
