Joseph S. Krakowski

Joseph died peacefully at home on March 27, 2012.

Joseph served in the Air Force, leaving with an honorable discharge. He retired in 1987 from NVF company after 36 years of service. He enjoyed going to Delaware Park and Atlantic City with his nephew, Bill Wheatley and his wife, Cathy.

He was the son of the late Bernard and Tessie (Gajewski) Krakowski. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary, of 39 years who died in 2008; and brother, Ben.

Joseph is survived by his devoted daughter, Chrissy DiBiaso; sister, Frances Sammons; and brother, John (Joan) Krakowski. He also is survived by two grandsons, Richard (Angelique) Hein, and Frank DiBiaso Jr.; among many nieces and nephews.

We will miss his smiling face and kindness that he carried with him throughout his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R. C. Church, 901 New Rd., Elsmere on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway in Elsmere on Monday morning from 9-10:30 am. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, 1501 Casho Mill Rd., Newark, DE 19711.
