Josephine Frances Yakal
Age 85, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
Josie, as she was affectionately known to all, loved to talk and laugh, especially sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. She was a simple woman who enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Her famous fried chicken will certainly be missed.
She was preceded by her parents, Guiseppe and Maria Giordano; her husbands, Leonard Richard Heller and August Yakal; her sister, Mary Tampanello; and her brother, Santo Giordano. Josephine is survived by her four children, Leonard Joseph Heller, Joseph Santo Heller (Mary Jane), Robert Alexander Heller (Sarah), and Maryann Congo; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Nursing Home for caring for Josie these past years.
All services private.
