Obituary

Joyce M (McCafferty) Fuller -Passed away peacefully Sept 26, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in New Castle De., Joyce attended St Peters the Apostle school, St. Paul's school and graduated in 1958 from Wilmington High. Married for almost 50 years, Joyce was a homemaker devoting all her time to raising her 3 children and in later years her grandchildren. She was an amazing wife and mother whom always put her family first. Joyce volunteered for over 30 years at Our Lady of Fatima school, running the kitchen for both the popular June fair and Christmas Bazaar. She was well known for being the "party lady" in the kitchen. She was very passionate of her Irish Heritage, taking several trips to Ireland and was a member of the Irish Culture Club of De. Joyce was seen every year selling the mugs after the clubs annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. She and husband Bobby started the family tradition of celebrating St. Patricks Day with the entire family, In the later years- Joyce was serving up food and beers at her favorite Irish pub- Mulrooney's, where she loved to work with her daughters and friends. She loved to sing and dance and was known to come out of the kitchen and sing a song with her favorite band Seven Rings!

When Joyce was not busy cleaning or taking care of her grandchildren, she loved spending time with her family. She looked forward to her girls weekends in Pa. And her beach week in OC with her sister Helen and cousin Gwen. Known as the wild golden girls, they built many wonderful memories together. Joyce was also a member of St. Anthony's and St. Gabriel's clubs in New Castle, where she played shuffleboard and bocce and enjoyed many great times with friends. She was a friend to all, lighting up any room she walked in. She will be truly missed but not forgotten as she built many fond memories with everyone she met.

Joyce was proceeded in death by her husband Bobby, father Felix McCafferty, and sister Patricia (McCafferty) Wright. Nieces Kelly (Cox) Scott and Colleen Andes. She is survived by her children Robert (Bob) , Daughters Patricia (Fuller) Clark and husband Guy, and daughter Kathleen (Kate) Fuller. Her Mother Helen Alfree McCafferty, sister Helen Cox and husband Harry, Brother Francis and his wife Marie. Seven Grandchildren, two great grandchildren in which she truly adored. many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr Jamal Misleh and staff, Dr Carlos Reyes, and Dr Shakamuri. Many Special thanks to Delaware Hospice and Seasons Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wed., Sept 30 at 11:00 at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 5th and Harmony St., New Castle DE, 19720. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tues., Sept, 29. Interment will be in St. Peter Church Cemetery.
