Julie Manetti
Age 67 of New Castle
Passed away on Monday, July, 24, 2017.
Julie was born in New Castle to the late John and Mary (Jeffery) Nepi. In 1971, she married her childhood sweetheart, Vincent "Junie" Manetti Jr. Together they spent 29 loving years in Shawtown raising their children and grandchildren. Their door was always open to anyone who needed it. Julie worked in many different family restaurants where she was able to display her talent as a cook. She was a lifetime parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church and the St. Anthony Social Club.
Julie was a true matriarch and cherished being together with her family. She loved supporting her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in all their sporting events as well as hosting family dinners. Julie was happiest when with her family, especially her husband with whom she is now reunited. They will miss her loving demeanor and fabulous cooking, especially her sauce.
Julie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Junie, and her brother, Johnny Nepi, who passed away as a child.
She will be dearly missed by her sons, Vinnie Manetti(Courtney) and Anthony Manetti (Nina); her brother, Joey Nepi(Jan), who she raised as her own son; and her grandchildren, Vinnie, Maggie, Anthony Jr., Arya, Karlee, and Joey, Jr. Julie is also survived by her siblings, Veronica Hamm (David), John Nepi Jr. (Carol), Dominick Nepi (Tammy), Annette DiAngelo(David), Tony Nepi (Vicki), and Nicole Goad (Shannon); her sister-in-law, Antoinette Ludwig; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church 5th and Harmony Streets, New Castle, on Saturday, July 29 at 11:00am. Friends may call at at the church on Friday, July 28 from 6:00-8:00pm. Interment will take place at Gracelawn Memorial Parkon Monday, July 31 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Julie's name to St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church.
