Passed away, Sunday, Jan 4, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Karen was the daughter of the late Ralph V. and Kathryn (Kane) Darby. She was a graduate of St. Ann Elementary School and St. Hedwig High School.
Karen was a medical secretary for over 25 years and retired from Pulmonary Assoc.
She had a never ending love of her family, especially "Her Boys". One of her greatest joys, was her avid support of her grandsons' sports teams. She seldom missed a game. Karen was never happier than when she was at the beach or with her family.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Darby.
Karen is survived by her husband of 49 years, James F. Bartkowski; her daughters, Sheila O'Hara (Christopher) and Jill Walker (David Sr.); and her adoring grandsons, David, Alex and Dylan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass Christian Burial at. St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, S. Clayton St., Wilm, DE, on Friday, Jan 9, 2015 at 10:30 am. Friends may call at Krienen-Grifith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805 on Thursday, Jan 8, 2015 from 6:00-8:0pm. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
