Passed away peacefully on September 11, 2023.

Kathy was born to the late Russell and Margaret (Prettyman) Morris. She spent her childhood in Elsmere and was a proud 1968 graduate of Corpus Christi High School.

On May 29, 1972, Kathy married the love of her life, Francis Green. Together they shared 51 blessed years together raising their family. After her children began school Kathy went back to work. She was a dedicated employee at the News Journal for over 20 years.

Kathy had many loves. She loved to cheer on her Phillies and Eagles. She loved her water aerobics classes and long days spent in the sun on the beach. She loved cruising the world with her husband and drinking a glass of wine or two with family and friends. But most of all Kathy loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and her family will miss her dearly.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Fran; her children, Brian Green (Amy), Kristin Knowlton (Craig), and Sarah Dowling (John Paul); her grandchildren, Brendon, Addison, Paul, and Nora; and her brother, Russ Morris.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff, especially aide Charlie, of both Christiana Hospital and Accent Hospice at Christiana for the exceptional care of Kathy in her final days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilm., DE, on Thursday, Sept 21 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am-11:00am. Interment will take place privately.
