Kathleen A. Walsh
Age 84, died July 26, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Kathleen was a lifelong member of St. Elizabeth Parish where she proudly graduated High School in 1946.
She worked as an Assistant Manager at WSFS at Third and Union Sts. for 20 years retiring in 1985.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the third floor staff at Kentmere Nursing Care for their special care of Kathleen.
She was the daughter of the late James and Ann (Samluk) Lynch. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, James A. Lynch, Jr., Honey Coen, Francis Lynch (Nancy), Marie Freeberry (Jack); sister-in-law, Phyllis Jordan (Bill); children, Lynn Walsh Swiatek, George (Jay) Walsh, Jr., Nancy McCaffery (Jerry), James Walsh (Terri); grandchildren, Melissa Blanchet (Chris), Edward Swiatek, III (Alicia), Christopher Swiatek, Michele Walsh, Jill (Andrew) Swain, Josephine (Morris) LaRue, George Walsh, III, Catherine Walsh, Kevin McCaffery, Mary Kate McCaffery, Connor McCaffery, Jessica Walsh, and Brian Walsh; and 8 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth R. C. Church, Oak & Clayton Sts., Wilmington on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10 am. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm. Interment is private.
