Kate Reynolds, daughter of Joan Reynolds and John B. Reynolds, died peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2016 at home surrounded by her family after a two-year battle against cancer. Kate graduated from Brandywine High School ('73) and the International College of Art in Miami, FL. She worked for the Delaware State Department of Labor for 18 years.

Kate's greatest love was raising her son, Joshua C. Reynolds, running a neighborhood daycare, and engaging her nieces and nephews through her love of learning. Kate was also an artist, designing and sewing clothes for friends and family members. She was filled with love for her family and pets and enjoyed nothing more than decorating for and celebrating holidays and family gatherings.

Kate is survived by her mother; Joan; her son, Josh; her siblings, Holli Gravett (Dale), Marthe Reynolds, Jimmy Reynolds (Julie), and Jennifer Schauffler (Bim); as well as her nieces and nephews, Austen Gravett, Mathias, Lia, and Georgia Vale Reynolds, and Moyra and Asa Schauffler. She will also be missed by her beloved cat, Jasmine.

A memorial service will be held on Sat, Sept., 24 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 2320 Grubb Rd, Wilmington, DE 19810. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 am.
