Kristeena Marie Flowers-Nichols
"One In A Million"
Age 27, of New Castle, peacefully passed away in her parent's home on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends, after a valiant seven month battle with cervical cancer.
Kristeena combated many medical obstacles, all the while trying desperately to fight this terrible disease. In these last few months of her life she was cared for at home by her devoted mother with assistance from her husband and father.
Kristeena was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Mary (DiPersio) Maichle. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Bryan Nichols; her one year old daughter, Kloee Ann Nichols; her parents, Garry and Ann Flowers; her grandfather, James Maichle; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her daughter and other family members. She enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, playing card games, and very much loved the many family gatherings and pool parties at her parent's home. She was a great Eagles and Phillies fan. She was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter who loved her family immeasurably. Her joy for life and her spirit lies in the life of her daughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Tuesday, October 11th at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers the family has established an educational fund for Kristeena's daughter. Contributions may be made to Kloee Ann Nichols, c/o Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, DE 19805.
