Laura M. Gunyuzlu

Age 70 of Old New Castle

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 18, 2025.

Laura grew up in Orange County, California and moved to the east coast as a young adult.

She retired from MBNA after many years of dedicated service.

Laura had a great love of books and loved storytelling which encouraged many of her life choices. She was an inspired gardener and animal lover. She loved her garden on Harmony Street where you might have seen her working with a cat nearby. Laura was extremely welcoming and provided warmth and aid to anyone that entered her life and needed it. She devoted her life to caring for her husband, children, and granddaughters. Her supportive presence will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Patricia Montgomery; her son, Patrick Montgomery; and brothers, Don and Kevin Montgomery.

Laura leaves behind her husband of 30 years, David Gunyuzlu; her daughter, Carrie (Chris); and granddaughters, Cameron and Jayna.

To honor Laura's love of mother nature services will be held on Earth Day, April 22, 2025. Full service information will be posted at a later time.
