Laura A. Hamill
On Sept. 3, 2013, the world lost a beautiful woman. Laura Alice (Frye) passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital after a long illness. She was 79.
Laura was born on Sept. 6, 1933 in Spartanburg, SC. She was a strong woman who worked hard her whole life to support and raise her five children. Laura loved the outdoors and loved spending her time bird watching at Battery Park. She brought joy, laughter, and sunshine to all whom she met. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her five children, James Hamill, Kevin Hamill, Cindy Hampton, Brian Hamill, and Sharon Basham, all of Delaware. Laura is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved greatly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sat., Sept. 7, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Krienen Funeral Home, 34 West 6th St., New Castle. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 3:00-4:00 pm.
