Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Lee was born in Cincinnati, OH and was the son of Lee D. and Marie Hehman. He graduated from Springfield High School. He then served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European Theater during World War II. He flew 35 missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After his service in the Army, he continued his studies at Villanova University. He then worked as a telephone equipment installer for Western Electric for 42 years.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Meredith Hehman; and his grandson, Gregg Albanese. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Peggy (Grace) Hehman; his children, Denis Hehman (Amy), Patti Albanese (Larry), Marianne Worthy (Gary), and Kathryn Celano (Joe); 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Margaret Hehman-Smith.

The family would like to thank all who helped care for Bud over the past year, including the paramedics at Elsmere Fire Company, the staffs at St. Francis Hospital, Millcroft Rehabilitation, and Manor Care. A special thank you is extended from the family to his nurse, Sonia, from Bayada Home Health Care and all those from Heartland Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 6, 2015, at 11:00 at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere. A viewing will take place at the church on Monday morning, from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
