Lillian "Till" (Albers) Furness

Age 86, recently of Rehoboth Beach passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Franciscan Care Center.

Till grew up in the Elsmere - Richardson Park area and graduated from HC Conrad High School. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, and much loved by all of us. She was always "Till" to her relatives and friends and "Mimi" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a crochet artist and enjoyed traveling with her husband of 67 years, Bob.

She was the daughter of the late Harry and Ada Albers. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Albers. She is survived by her family; her husband of 67 years, Robert H. Furness; her five children, Nancy McGinnis and her husband Harry, Harry Furness, Rob Furness and his wife Debbie, Dan Furness and his wife Kathy, Joe Furness and his wife Kathy; her nine grandchildren, Kim Gardner, Melissa Gardner, Andrew Furness, Abigail Cimorelli, Kristen Trainor, Kevin Nolan, Stephen Furness, Danielle Furness, and Brianna Furness; her three great-grandchildren, Kiya, Kira, and Erin; and her brother, Harry Albers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9-11 am Saturday morning. Interment in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
