Passed away on June 19, 2016 after a long illness. Her loving husband, Silvio, was at her side.
She was born in 1936 in Bellante, Italy and came to the US in 1956 with her husband and young son and settled in New Castle, Delaware. Shortly after her daughter was born, the family became US citizens. She was an accomplished seamstress and worked with her husband, a tailor, in his shop for 35 years. Linda was also an enthusiastic gardener and a member of the New Castle Garden Club as well as the Giuseppe Verdi Society. She loved to travel whether it was to someplace near or far away. She enjoyed travelling on land as well as by air and sea. She was an excellent cook. Linda always prepared beautiful meals especially homemade pasta and baked goods for family and friends. She was an active member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church of New Castle helping with their annual bazaar, spaghetti dinners and bake sales. She was dedicated to her family throughout her life. Her gracious and loving spirit will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Silvio; her son, Enrico and his wife, Ann; her daughter, Michele and her, husband Elario (Larry); granddaughters Lora, Nicola, Talia, Michele, and Gemma; great granddaughter Gianna, and Lora's husband Ralph Bucci, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 5th and Harmony St. New Castle, DE 19720, on Friday, June 24 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30am. Interment will take place in Cathedral Cemetery.
