Lisa Anne Short

Age 49, of Wilmington, DE became an angel Tuesday, March 4th 2014.

Lisa was born on a sweet autumn day on October 14th, 1964. A Delaware native, she most recently lived as a housewife, but enjoyed a lifetime of interesting careers. Lisa was a Real Estate Agent for Keller-Williams and formally found delight driving a school bus for Brandywine School District. She also spent a few pleasant summers as a lifeguard for Paladin Club swimming pool.

Lisa was a compassionate and gentle soul, finding joy in helping others. She loved children, animals, and watching the sunset. Lisa took pride in raising her only daughter, Julie, whom she loved her more than life itself.

Survivors include her beautiful daughter, Julie; long time partner, Robert Ford; sisters, Terri, Maureen, Colleen, Chrissy; brother, Patrick; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, George A. and Mary Ann Riley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 7 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-7 pm Monday evening. Interment is private.
