Passed away suddenly on October 1, 2015 at the age of 81.

Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Loretta was a lifelong resident of New Castle, and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Church from where she graduated High School in 1952. Loretta worked as a bookkeeper for the Brandywine Race Track and then for the Yellow Cab Company from where she retired in 2010. She enjoyed going on casino and shopping trips with her friends, Diane DiAngelo, Mary Passwaters, and Theresa Susi. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking Sunday dinners.

Loretta was preceded in death by parents, Arminda and Antonio DiAngelo; her brothers, Orlando (Dindy) and George DiAngelo; her sisters, Jeanette Cianfarino and Helen Vari; brother-in-law, John Cook; and sister-in-law, Joan Dudziec.

Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Robert P. Cook; son Tom Cook and his wife, Lori: grandchildren, Tommy and Morgan Cook; brother, Mario DiAngelo, Sr.; sister-in-law, Nora Cook; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5th and Harmony Streets, New Castle, DE. A visitation will take place at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Peter the Apostle Church, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Little Sisters of the Poor.
