Louise M. Moyle Leary age 97 of Bear, Daughter of John and Louisa (Atallian) Moyle, sister of John Moyle and Martha Bockman, went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2021. Louise was born on May 1, 1923. She grew up in Wilmington, DE and graduated from St. Paul Catholic School and Wilmington High School.
Louise was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary's Parish for over 60 years. She also volunteered her time at the Veterans Hospital helping veterans for many years. She loved celebrating holidays and family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Louise greatly enjoyed gardening and being outdoors as well as doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and spending time at the beach.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles P. Leary; sons, James P. and Joseph F. Leary; daughter, May Leary; and grandchildren, Phillip Leary of Wilmington, James Leary and Jeremy Ellingsworth of Northeast, MD, son-in-law, Earl Fox and daughter-in-law, Judy Leary.
She is survived by sons, Charles P. (Linda) of FL, Paul J. (Darlene) of Newark, Francis P. (Billie) of Wilmington, Albert M. of Newark and Pittman C. (Barbara) of Bear; and daughters, Louise M. Fox of Wilmington, Edith M. (Jackie) Taylor of FL., Diana M. (Harry) Rash of FL., Patricia A. (Rodney) Rivera of Bear, Susan L. (Raymond) Ellingsworth of Northeast, MD; and daughter-in-law, Dee Leary.
Louise will be remembered as a devoted wife , loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and someone who always cared for other people.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 23 at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilm. DE, from 8:30-9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary R.C. Church, 600 E. 6th Street, Wilm. DE 19801. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
