On August 25th 2016, our dearest mother, grandmother and friend, Lucy B. Rock died peacefully at the age of 85 in Seasons Hospice, Christiana DE.

Lucy was born in Freeland, PA on February 8th, 1931 daughter of Joseph and Julianna Barowski. At the age of 21, she married Elmer Rock, also of Freeland, PA, and lived in Wilmington DE for over 60 years. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Wilmington DE for almost 60 years, where she was an active organist, pianist, and choir member.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia M. Rock.
Lucy leaves behind Elmer Rock, beloved husband of 64 years; daughters, Rebecca Fortin and Mary Lou Cunningham; and grandchildren, Jacqueline C. and Daniel R. Cunningham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, 2503 Centerville Rd, Wilm., DE 19808, on Tuesday, August 30 at 11:00am. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Monday evening, August 29 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Interment will be private.
