"Peggy"
Age 100 of Wilmington, Delaware
August 20, 1924 – June 17, 2025
At 4:10 pm on June 17th Mom went to spend eternity with Daddy. She passed peacefully surrounded with family. She was ready and is finally at peace.
During WWII at the age of about 19, Peggy worked at Bellanca Airfield in New Castle as a riveter. She was able to reach into the very small places in the planes that no one else could fit because she was only 4' 11".
Later in life she was devoted to taking care of everyone in her family. This continued until the last of her 12 siblings and parents passed away and began again when she had her family and grandkids and great grandkids. Peggy was devoted to her family and her church, St. Matthews, and loved to bowl at Pleasant Hill Lanes.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Julio Guida, and daughter, Julia Guida.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Nancy Diffley (Andrew); grandchildren, Ron Rutter (Robin), Chris Rutter (Gayle), Anthony Gemignani, Amy Diffley, Matthew Diffley (Tara); and her great grandchildren, Gabi Rutter, Nick Rutter, Jason Rutter, Victoria Patten, and Ella Rutter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Saturday, Jun 28 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Cathedral Cemetery on Monday, Jun 30 at 10:00am.
