Margaret B. "Peggy" Heglund

Age 78 of Wilmington

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 28, 2022.

Peggy spent her working years in the health care world. She was employed for over 30 years at Christiana Care as an Emergency Room clerk. She also worked as a family practice front desk clerk for 20 years.

Peggy enjoyed the simple things is life. She spent her time cross stitching or lost in a good book. And for anyone that knew Peggy they knew she like to "collect a little bit of everything".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret Blackburn; her sister, Mildred Cavanaugh; and her son, Tony (Campbell) Buiano.

Peggy will be dearly missed be her husband of 37 years, Richard Heglund; her son, Stephen Campbell (Wendy); her stepchildren, Rich Heglund (Christine) and Katie Heglund; her grandchildren, Jacob and Shane Campbell, and Paige and Liam Heglund.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service for Peggy at Krienen Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Friday, November 11 at 5pm. Friends may call at the funeral home on from 4:00pm-5:00pm. Interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Peggy's name to your local fire department.
