Marian Rose Hance Feathers

Age 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 13, 2009.

Marian has been a resident of the New Castle area since the late 1940's. She worked for the Penn Supermarket in New Castle during the 1960's as an accountant. Marian then worked in the shipping department of the St. Joe's Paper Co. until her retirement in 1988. After her retirement she worked for St. Peter's Parish in New Castle as a bookkeeper.

Marian was a member of the Elizabeth Ann Seton R. C. Church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Bear Library. She was also the treasurer of the P.R.C.A. Her hobbies included being a very avid reader, gardening, painting, playing piano, and ceramics.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years William J. "Bumper" Feathers; her children, Marian George and her fiancé Edward Price, Mary Palmer and her husband Kim, Vicki Feathers, Edward Hance and his life partner Susie Isenbarger, and Stephen Hance and his wife Cheryl; her brother, Edwin L. Minnick and his wife Ber; and her sister, Kathryn Morris and her husband Robert; her 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James C. Hance in 1974.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen Funeral Home, 34 West 6th St., New Castle on Thursday, June 18th at 11 a..m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment is private.
