Obituary
Marie Elizabeth Breuer, 95, of Elsmere, DE passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
Born on August 12, 1918 in North Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by husband, John (Bud) Breuer in 1999. They celebrated almost 60 years of marriage. At Marie's recent 95th Birthday Party, a beautiful picture of five generations of women was taken and will be cherished.
Marie was a devout Roman Catholic and an original member of Our Lady of Ransom parish in Philadelphia and also belonged to their Senior Center for many years, with whom she and her husband took many wonderful trips. Marie was a kind, gentle and loving person to everyone who knew her.
Marie was also preceded in death by her sister, Edna Tomaszewski Hoelscher in 2012. She is survived by two children, John S Breuer, Jr (Pat), and Kathleen Evely (Bob); two grandchildren, Christina Lopresti and Robert L Evely III (Christa); three great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and brother-in-law, Joseph Hoelscher.
The family would like to THANK the staff at Manor Care - Arcadia Unit - Foulk Rd. and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
Visitation will begin at 10AM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, De 19707. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11AM. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Alzheimer's Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Dr., PO Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD 20871-1950.
