Mario Scarpone
Beloved husband of Gail and devoted father of Phillip passed away in their loving arms on January 3, 2010.
Mario was an accountant with AstraZeneca for the past nine years. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve for six years.
He was a devoted father and husband whose greatest joy was his simple home life and spending time with his family.
Mario was preceded in death by his father, Raffaele Scarpone, mother Maria Ruggieri, brother, Simone Scarpone, brother-in-laws, Ernest Tartaglia and Gino Bruni, and nephew, Daniel Vitelli.
He will be missed by his siblings Emilia Tartaglia (Northville, MI), Aldo Scarpone and wife Sonia (Nepezzano Italy), Evana Vitelli and husband Bonaventura (Newark, DE), Ilda Bruni (Paoli, PA) and Alex Scarpone and wife Janice (Claymont, DE). Uncle Mario will also be missed by his 17 nieces and nephews and 27 grand nieces and nephews.
There is a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 7th at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere. You may visit at the Church one hour prior to Mass. Interment following Mass in Cathedral Cemetery.
