Obituary

Mary Louise Boyle aka "Pete", age 81, passed peacefully on August 21, 2022 in Newark,
Delaware with family present.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on April 28, 1941 to Micheal and Margaret (Saxon) Petro,
Mary Lou was a devout Catholic. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and went on to
graduate from Misericordia College with a Bachelor of Science. After graduation, Mary began
teaching elementary school.

On August 8,1964, Mary Lou was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Cornelius 'Neil'
J. Boyle. She was a very loving wife and soon became a mother and homemaker.

Mary Lou, "Pete", was a striking beauty with a beautiful singing voice. She often was heard as a
featured soloist at school, in community music programs, as a member of the local opera chorus
and as a cantor in church, namely St. John's and Holy Angels Churches in Newark, Delaware.
With an eye for design, Mary Lou always had beautifully decorated homes. She and Neil lived
and traveled to many places around the world during their 57 year marriage. They raised their
family in Seaford, Delaware and Newark, Delaware. They went on to live in Melbourne,
Australia and Chattanooga, Tennessee before retiring in Menifee, California in 1999.

Mary Lou loved to entertain friends and family and did so frequently with a big smile on her face.
She was an avid card player, a golfer, a skier, a huge classic movie fan and a soap opera
aficionado.

Mary Lou is survived by her three children; Lynne Boyle Trafton, Barbara Tobler Valente (John),
and Neil Boyle (Paige). She was a devoted and fun loving grandmother to her seven
grandchildren; Corinne Morris, Colin Megnin, Christine Vargas, Sky Tobler, Devyn Boyle, Ryan
Boyle and Ashlynne Trafton. She is also survived by her two sisters Elaine Pelesh and Nancy
Stock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Angel's Catholic Church in Newark, Delaware on
