Mary Cummings, 63, passed suddenly April 12, 2025.
Mary was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, the daughter of John R. and Mary T. Cummings. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles and Edward. She is survived by her brother John and his wife Gisela, sister Ellen Deely and her husband James and their children Jessica and Daniel and his wife Nicole and their son Jaxon, brother William and his wife Beth and her children Carlee and Kyle and sister Kathleen Eckton and her husband Ronald and their children Danielle and Kara Mazewski and her husband Anthony and their children, McKenzie, Camaron and Ellyana. She will also be missed by extended family and friends including her life-long friend, Maureen.
Mary was a life-long member of St. Thomas R.C. parish and she graduated elementary school at St. Thomas. She then attended Conrad High School and graduated from Wilmington High School after the closing of Conrad. She always thought of Conrad as her alma mater. Mary worked over 30 years at Aquaflow, formerly Delaware Plumbing. She will be a great loss to the company for which she worked so tirelessly.
The two joys in Mary's life were all of her family members, especially her nephew, nieces, and great nephews and great nieces, and her dogs. Mary loved to spend time at family gatherings and going on outings with family. She was also happy to be home with her loving dogs who now miss their mother.
Mary enjoyed the beach and spent long hours on it whenever she had the opportunity.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visitation which will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Tuesday, April 22 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas R.C. Church, 4th and Bancroft Parkway, Wilmington, DE 19805, on Wednesday April 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow Mass at Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mary asks that charitable donations be made in her name to any animal rescue agency or shelter. Mary was a Gift Of Life donor and would like her family members and friends to donate, when possible.
