Mary McGovern Lundy
Peacefully passed away on December 14, 2012.
Mary was born in 1916 in Wilmington to the late Lewis and Anna (Creedon) McGovern. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Passwaters, Ellen Conklin, and Francis McGovern.
Mary was retired after working for Family Finance, Artcraft Electric and Tecot Distributors.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Lundy; nieces and their husbands, Ellen and Marty O'Connor, and Mary and Jim Ebright of Wilmington, DE; nephew, Gary Conklin of Oregon; great nieces, Suzanne (Tom) Lenhard, Caryl Ebright; great nephew, Bryan (Colleen) Ebright of Wilmington; great, great nieces and nephews, Gaige and Lily Lenhard, Jade Ebright and Connor, Sean, Bridgit, and Megan Ebright of Wilmington, DE; and her BFF's, Karen and Richard Stout.
The family of Mary McGovern Lundy would like to express their special gratitude to the emergency room staff at the Christiana Care Wilmington Hospital, the 5N Floor, also to the staff of Kentmere Nursing Care Center. Their dedication, compassion, and above all the total professionalism, made the passing of Mary that much easier for the entire family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony R. C. Church, 901 N. DuPont St., Wilmington on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11 am. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Wednesday morning. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Newark.
